“We try to bring out the best in every rider by providing them an education in the fundamentals of riding, and eventually jumping, that affords them the ability to ride and compete with safety, competence, and fun”, states Mike Gallaway, who established Triple Rise with his family over 18 years ago. To this end, several levels of training and lesson programs are offered. To learn more or to schedule a lesson, contact trainer Rachel Marcotte at 541-206-4643 or email Rachel School Horse LessonsMost long-time clients at Triple Rise have no concerns about the future of their retiring show horses—they always seem to have a good home at Triple Rise. Most retired show horses find a new career as a school horse, keeping them active in the job they know and love, while providing beginning students the opportunity to learn on quality, well-trained horses. Many students who come to Triple Rise from other barns marvel at the quality of horse they get to take lessons on in our program. It’s a win-win situation for everyone. For those not quite ready for ongoing lessons, we also offer summer camps. Click here to learn more. Half Leases We love our clients horses as though they were our children, and view each one as a special individual. We take plenty of time helping each client select the right horse, based on their skill level, showing plans, riding goals, and the horse’s temperament and ability, and how these qualities create an optimum match. Because we invest so much time and energy to finding a horse that suits each individual, we are dedicated to the success of the relationship. Training and lessons for each horse and rider are tailored to best help each individual learn and improve in their skills. We carefully adjust our group lessons so that skill levels are balanced, and no one is left behind. As an individual advances, they are placed into a new group that will give them more challenges while allowing them to still enjoy their training sessions. A part of this training business is taking clients to shows. At the end of each year, we hold personal conferences with each client in order to define goals and means of achieving them. During this meeting we decide which shows would be most beneficial for the horse and rider in the upcoming year. This gives us a benchmark to base our training on, but we keep the plan flexible, so that as goals or expectations shift, the new goals can be accommodated. For more information about our school horse lessons, half leases or full training program, please contact us to ask any questions, or arrange to visit our facility. |
